The party continues to neglect me as I am not from a Sangh Parivar background. But I do not attach much importance to it. I am working with the single focus of helping the people of my district and ensuring the overall development of Vijayapura, BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi said in Vijayapura on Saturday (March 8, 2025).

He told reporters that he was the senior most leader in Karnataka BJP after B S Yediyurappa.”I have felt neglected in the party for many years now. If they consult me, I can give them sound political advice based on my long experience. But they do not consult me. That may be because I do not have Sangh Parivar background. But I do not feel bad about it. I keep working for my people, the people who elected me so many times,’‘ he said.
